Simple Self Help Meditation Techniques

Breath Meditations

Our breath is actually the physical manifestation of the Life Force energy. So working with the breath can be a wonderful tool. When one becomes free of thoughts, the life force energy can flow into the body and be absorbed by it more effectively, thus energizing and recharging it.

Breath With Counts

This method requires us to count each breath in and out as 1, 2, and 3 and so on. Doing so would help us to be thought free. Staying with the breath without counting could bring back thoughts in our mind. One must not allow them to become a chain of thoughts but, drop them and go back to the breath counting.

Full Breath Meditation

When we normally breathe, our breath is shallow and only about half or one-third of our lungs are filled with air. In this method, one must breathe fully allowing the entire lungs to be filled up to the collar bones. However, one must not exert while breathing but allow the breath to be gentle.
